Gallery One at the Paseo

Susan grew up in Falls Church, Virginia and studied Art at Oklahoma State University and University of Central Oklahoma before teaching elementary art for 32 years.

She likes her art to have a sense of humor or tell a story. She creates illusions by layering and adding texture to her work. By not limiting herself to one medium or style, she produces work described by one patron as "elegant to funky."

Teaching children and making art are her greatest passions. She teaches hand-building classes at OKC's historic House of Clay and painting classes at her studio in Paseo Gallery One. A Children's Summer Art Camp is a tradition and is shared between both places.
